Bottoms Up #8 – The Seeker Wines

The spirit of exploration and discovery calls to many of us who love libations. The thrill of discovering a new flavor, method, or winery is rivaled only by the pleasure in recommending your new treasure to friends. Seeker Wine brand seems to understand this experience and tries to communicate this excitement in their wine with their Steampunk-themed labels and thoughtful selection.

“The Seeker is a global brand brought to market by a family company with 65 years of experience and relationships with family wineries spanning the globe, seeking out top-quality wines from the regions that grow them best.

The Seeker crosses time zones and continents in a relentless quest for the world’s best wines, bringing the thrill of adventure and discovery with each sip.”

Ginny and Charlie stared the week trying Seeker’s Red Wines and today on Bottom’s up they try the white varieties: A creamy un-oaked Chardonnay from California and a bright and fruity Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.

Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough, New Zealand

Hints of citrus and nectarine with a touch of freshly-cut grass. Refreshing, with subtle flavors of gooseberry and sweet summer herbs finishing juicy and long.

Ideally-suited to shellfish, salads, citrus-sauced dishes, ocean voyages, and park blanket reconnaissance.

We sought our Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, where, to make the zestiest blend possible, our winemaker selected Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the country’s two islands, Marlborough on the northern part of the south island and Martinborough on the southern part of the north island.

Grapes become wine in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks – no oak touches it at any step in the process. The result is a bright, clean, zingy wine.

Low carbon footprint: special lightweight glass, local sustainable printer, recycled/recyclable paper.

Light scents of citrus and flowers. Ripe pineapple, golden apple, and Anjou pear flavors are balanced by citrus notes and a smooth, creamy finish.

A harmonious wine, perfect for smoked chicken salad with apples and walnuts, four-cheese pizza, calamari fritti, Mu Shu pork, devious dalliances, and musical mayhem.

We sought our Chardonnay from California and its coolest-climate winegrowing regions, choosing only grapes that would blend into a symphony of flavor.

We compose grapes into wine within stainless steel tanks – no oak – to maintain a lively, fresh, clean flavor.

Low carbon footprint: special lightweight glass, leading-edge solar cogeneration & water and heat conservation technology, local sustainable printer.
