Cincy Beerfest

Cincy Beerfest

It is hard to believe that I am getting ready to attend my second Cincy Beerfest and 5-B Blogging Conference. Just a year ago I was nervous about meeting other bloggers and afraid that I wouldn’t be taken seriously as a writer. Now I’ve got over a year of podcasting and blogging under my belt, we’ve just launched a second all-alcohol podcast called Bottom’s Up, I’ve started writing for Queen City Drinks, and I’m in the process of starting Tonic Tours. Wow that sounds like a lot when you write it out like that. But basically what I’m saying is that I am very excited to be returning and feeling much more at home this time.

Ginny show’s her appreciate for German heritage and beer at last year’s Beerfest.

Last year at the Cincy Beerfest Charlie and I ran around like a couple of drunk kids in a candy shop, randomly sampling whatever beer we came across as we worked our way across the hall. The variety of beers and sheer number of people and fun was overwhelming. This year with a little more beer knowledge under my belt, a list of over 365 craft beers that will be at there, and a brand new app for my phone to keep track of it all, I plan on being a little more deliberate in my tastings. To follow all the fun this weekend make sure to check out @CharlieTonic where we will be tweeting (twittering?) pictures and updates of the weekend and of course listen next week where will have a drinks segment recorded live from the festival.
