Episode #49 – Contemplating Life With Four Martinis And A Good Book

Episode #49 – Contemplating Life With Four Martinis And A Good Book

Ginny Tonic and Charlie return! This week, after catching up on current events, the dynamic duo kick off the segments asking each other what they wanted to be when they grew up. After a few stories, they end up on a discussion covering no less than the meaning of life. From there they find a comfy seat in the library and offer you a mix of book recommendations for the holidays. For this week’s Bottoms Up segment, Charlie dons a blindfold as he takes on a four martini challenge. Where else are you going to see that kind of combination other than the Charlie Tonic Hour? Answer… nowhere. A nice cover song closes out the show as we look ahead to next week’s 50th episode!

4 Responsesto “Episode #49 – Contemplating Life With Four Martinis And A Good Book”

  1. Calamity Dawn says:

First: Love “On A Pale Horse.” It was an infuential book for me in my teens.
Second: I like all 4 gins you used, but the Hendricks is my fave.
Third: You shook the martinis!!! ARGH!!!!!!!

  2. Calamity Dawn says:

Oh, and yeah, I identified which gin was which just from the descriptions… 😀
(and… stir those bad boy drinks!)

  3. Gintia says:

I read some Xanth books but then really liked the On a Pale Horse series.

My childhood impractical dream was also music, but I didn’t want to be a rock star – I wanted to be an opera singer.

  4. Ginny says:

I had a feeling you would call me out on the shaking Calamity. Gintia your childhood dream was much classier than ours.
