There is a fun little website called Proust that helps you build your own autobiography by asking interesting questions and letting you answer, add pictures and share with friends. I thought it would be a fun thing to take some of those questions and answer them with you here from time to time.
Where Have You Traveled With Your Friends?
I have told the story a few times of how I didn’t really do much in my 20’s and that it wasn’t until I turned 29 that I kind of realized I was wasting what was left of my youth and started getting more active socially. But the good part about that little quarter life crisis was that my 29th year was one of my most fun ever. I ran a marathon, started going to Steampunk events, and I went on my first as so far only girls trip. Three of my very good friends joined me for four days in Puerto Rico. We stayed in a very nice hotel near the beach with an open bar every night and a casino in the lobby. The people of Puerto Rico were all so incredibly nice and friendly. One of us lost her debit card while on the beach and not only did someone find it, they walked around to all of the local hotel until they found the one we were staying at to they could leave it at the front desk. In four days we went to a rainforest and explored Old San Juan. We ate delicious Puerto Rican food and flirted with the very cute waiter who was probably 10 years younger than us. We went for a midnight swim in the ocean. (Well two of us did while the other two looked on in dismay. I’m not telling which of the two.) It was about the most fun I’ve ever had and all I can say while writing this is, “When are we going back?”
